Forum : Age for 1st standard

My Son will be 5 years 10 months as of June 2010. I would like to know if he would be eligible for 1st standard.Looking at the cutoff date in most of the school website,just for 2 months he would loose an year. Appreciate if one of you could let me know at the earliest. Any suggestions are most welcome. He is currenlty in Kintergarten (US) and we are planning to return to Bangalore next year in Feb 2010
