Still trying to make sense out of this place. After considering it for my child for some time I finally paid a visit. The first thing you would notice when you arrive is its not really that far from the city limits. Even in high traffic times it took me just 15 minutes from the mekri circle.
Considering I had high expectations from this place I must say the visit was disappointing. The school if I may call it so is not much of a school. Its one building not too big or tall and a small soccer field facing it. There is a small playing area for children with two slides but un useable as the sand is not refined. Children could be injured by the rather big pebbles in it.
As I went around I was trying to make sense out of the place. Just why would any one pay 320000 a year for a place like this. There is just one section per class. The teachers are a mixed bag. A few of them well qualified but most of them young graduates. The classrooms are rather small owing to the size of the building. There are air corns installed all over but nothing like a smart boards seen anywhere.
Having slept over it I still cant make any sense over the high fee structure. The only reason why one would put a child in this school is if your coming down from the UK and your child has been in a government school he could continue with the UK curriculum. As for some reason they don’t follow the Cambridge IGCSE program. That set aside I cant think of a single reason.
Must mention here that the school has come out and moved beyond the paul meekin effect. The headmaster is good and very easily available to anyone who wants to meet him.

The principal of this school is arrested for sexual abbuse, the school should be shameful for appointing such idiots as principal with out doing the back ground check.
Its will be a disaster if parents join their kids in this school, they don’t have any more right to continue in the education business.

Who is Bud Chapman? He was employed as Paul Meekin (the ex-headmaster, now under arrest for child abuse)’s personal assistant! He still works for Trio School! The fact that he didn’t mention this in his posting to this website is just one example of the kind of deceit you can expect from Trio School.

As an ex parent of Trio World school I want to speak in support of them. my son went to Trio in the last academic year. We were very happy with the school which was and is a great place to be. This school should not be condemned by the events occurring around a single person.
The school is focused on the future, is committed to its students and parents and that is being articulated by the Management Group.
Has this been difficult, yes definitely, will it define the school, not all.
This is an opportunity, all be it a terrible one for any school to go through, however the school is operating in the interests of the students, parents and teachers to give the parents the service that they chose the school for.
I would be happy to have my son in Trio, the only reason he is not is he now lives 2 hrs by bus away from the school.
This is my heart felt comment, given as someone who believes in the school.

AS a parent i find very distrubing that for faults of an Individual in this case the principal there is a big question mark about the School and the education imparted. i had personally experienced with my child he is in grade 3 the attention given by teachers towards education and making learning more fun.
The infrastructure, environment is world class, my child loves being in the school and i had seen marked improvement in his academics and overall development. I have great faith in the School and Management.

One can understand your point of view sir, but the fact is that the management appointed him in a most irresponsible manner. It would be a simple procedure for them to verify his qualifications. The fact that little children have been abused in a way that would be at the back of their mind all their lives cannot be overlooked. How can a parent trust an organisation that functions in such a immature manner

Briton held for seeking sexual favour from boy
BANGALORE: A British national, who was working as the Head Master of an international school at Sahakaranagar, TRIO WORLD SCHOOL, was arrested by Kodigehalli police on charges of seeking sexual favour from a 14-year-old boy who was studying in class seven at his school.
The accused has been identified as Paul Francis Meekin (38), a native of London. He was working in the school since a year.
According to the police, Meekin reportedly called the boy unnecessarily to his chamber and asked him ‘inappropriate and objectionable’ questions. He also allegedly sent vulgar messages while chatting with the boy on a social networking site. Recently, when he was chatting with the boy, he allegedly asked him for sexual favours. The boy informed his mother about it and she complained to the school management about it besides filing a police complaint.
“Following the allegation, the school management dismissed him and he was arrested on Friday. He has been booked under IT and Juvenile Justice Acts. He was released after he was granted bail by a court on Saturday,” the police added.
“The boy comes from an affluent family that had settled in USA for many years. He is now residing with his mother in Basavanagudi while his father is in USA,”they said.

International school head booked for sex chat with boy

The headmaster of an international school in north Bangalore has been booked for sending obscene messages to one of his students.
The Kodigehalli police picked up Paul Meekin, a British national, from his residence in Sahakara Nagar on Friday, following a complaint that he had harassed a 14-year-old schoolboy with sleazy comments and messages.
Police said the headmaster had email and Facebook contact with the student. According to the complaint, he used offensive language while chatting with his student on Facebook. Meekin allegedly also spoke about sex to the student. The scared boy initially kept the matter to himself, but finally mustered the courage to inform his parents, the complaint said.
After the parents filed a complaint, an FIR was registered against Meekin. He was charged under the provisions of Section 23 of the Juvenile Justice Act and Section 67 of the IT Act 2008.
On Friday, the police produced Meekin in the court of the first Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, which remanded him to judicial custody and sent him to the Parappana Agrahara central prison.
He was granted bail on Saturday. While investigations are still on, the school management has dismissed Meekin.
