Hi,
I study in DPSBN and i think it is a very good school. The teachers are very friendly, Infrastructure is very good. Other students make you feel comfortable ven if it's your first year in school.I actually fell sad when we get longg holidays. It is my second home and i have no problems with my school.I love it.
All of you who have bad opinions i think should change their minds.

Hi Kakoli,
I was looking at getting my kid admitted to Class II for year 2012-13. Can you please tell me what was the process for a mid term admission? i have approached DPS, and they refuse to entertain saying I will have to wait till March-April.
What was the entrance test like? Did they ask for any extra money/donation for class II admission.
If possible, please share your phone no also.
Thanks,

Annual Day celebrationss at DPS North are dominated by Bollywoodized performances. It is good to see the kids dance and perform but its seems nothing else is being learnt by the kids. No skits, one act plays any more in schools.
The sports event last year was a similar fiasco with loads of dances and very poor athletics and a very shoddy march past and a lousy school band.
I think parents need to look at such issues when they decide on a school.
DPS has good infrastructure, but very limited capabilities as far as quality schooling is concerned.
There are just too many kids and sections.

Hello there,

I am very keen in admitting my daughter for her senior secondary course at DPS North. Could anyone tell me whether hostel facilities are available there. There's no mention of a hostel on the school website.Thanks.

To begin with DPS North was great. But of recent I noticed there is a decline in standards. Probably many people on administration (not management) are not professional administrators. The PR skills of some of the people over there are very poor. I have noticed many teachers even have left the school because there is too much of pressure and no room for expression of opinion. If the management bring in professional administrators it should be alright.

Fully Agree to following 2 comments posted by Preeti..

1. There is total absence of PROFESSIONAL approach to taking parents feedback.

2. The toilets are dirty, stinking and wet. Basic hygiene facilities are BAD even though school has hi tech equipments in class and huge expansion program. School does not respond to parents requests for ensure clean toilets. THIS SHOULD BE AN ADMISSION PARAMETER FOR PARENTS TO CONSIDER sp for kids going to KG and primary classes.

More updates on DPS Bangalore North based on the experience upto March 2011.
Overall DPS-N is impressive when you make the first visit of the campus. However, I had my daughter there for 6 years, before I made a decision to change her school.
Noticed that the
1. School is hardly covering the syllabus that is prescribed in the book.
2. Daily 1 or 2 teachers would be absent. You can ask for the records of teachers attendance to confirm this.
3. October till December is freakout time as there are no lectures conducted and all the time is spent on preparations for the sports event which end up as "Dance event".
4. Jan and Feb is like running through the syllabus as if some tiger (Principal)is been following the teachers.
5. Exam questions were such that they do not challenge the students knowledge about the subject since there is little taught about the subject and only that is asked in the examination.
6. Almost weekly you would get some request to pay money for some or the other stuff...
7. Last year for science one full semester (5 chapters) were skipped just because there is no time.
8. Art and craft book was untouched for the entire year. And so was the case for Hindi workbook.
9. Maths textbook exercises are 50% untouched.
10. Till last year there were weekly tests and I know that from this year they have stopped that too ... only half yearly and final.
And much more....

Overall I would say, if you want to have relaxed education for the kid and do not think of kids to learn too much / fly high then DPS Bangalore North is good that will involve kids in less studies and more extra activities..
