In my opinion this is not the place where children will learn to accept responsibility with freedom, where they will learn the required skills to become independent intelligent individuals, respectable responsible citizens and sensitive sensible leaders. With the institution of education being taken over by profit motive true educationists have vanished or been vanquished and the children are the losers.

i want to know that in jain international schools how many languages can you choose and how many languages are there in the school and do they go for trips
[Reply]
I hope you decided against putting your child there cause it is not a place that would bring out the best in your child. It is very easy to lose track . habits like smoking, alcohol prevail, at 13- 14 years there is pressure to have boyfriends/girlfriends or get into relationships. It is sort of the culture there and a lot of students end up doing it just to “belong” or they would not be considered “cool enough”. I know it is very silly but for a child it is a huge deal because they dont want to feel left out or like an outcast so they just do it to fit in. And they are awya from parents so they don’t even get proper support guidance and counseling that is critical in teenage growing years.
Only buildings are fantastic but that is not what will shape shape your child’s personality !

Hey everyone i studied in JIRS for 3 years. Let me give you a true picture of JIRS. The school is great in terms of infrastructure and facilities but not really “international” otherwise. The peer pressure is crazy and most students develop habits like smoking and drugs. I guess a lot of the reasons for this can be attributed to the way the management handles the school. And putting your teenaged kids there definitely is not a good idea, as they are bound to get succumbed to peer pressure . A lot of the inside stories never gets out .The management and teachers hide it from parents. What you see and hear on the first day you come to visit the school is just a glorified version. Only after enrolling and living there students see the real JIRS . It is a fully residential school and parents please dont put your kids there unless they have a strong sound mind or else they will lose track.I have so many classmates who came in clean and by one year started doing drugs and smoking up.The school encourages snobbery and even tolerates disrespect to teachers and often the kids grow up to be arrogant. The campus culture is such that kids feel so much emphasis on mixing only with kids of similar status Even i developed these absurd mentality which i only lost after getting out of JIRS and living in the real world and diverse college which did’nt only have rich kids.We just had to do certain things to “fit In” or else you will be ragged and picked on .This is not a healthy environment to grow up in.Certain punishments practiced in this school can permanently affect the student psychologically .For Eg Solitary confinement for a student !! it sounds unbelievable but trust me it is actually practiced here …They have locked up students in an empty room for days.Agreed that the students are extremely mischievous but this is not the right way to set them right ! Since students don’t get to keep mobile phones , parents never get to know.. there have been several cases where they parents did get to her about the incidents and they have taken their kids to other schools.
However with all that being said the food , facilities and sports infrastructure is truly amazing. I have’nt seen any other school with such amazing infrastructure and facilities in India. But still sending your kids there is a risk . Only send your child there after a strong counseling session on maintaining the values they have been brought up with and being strong enough to not get absorbed by peer pressure. I, definitely would not put my younger siblings there.

i want to admit my child in class 7. i want to know the details of annual fees separately. charges for different facilities.
[Reply]
First,
I would like to say that JIRS is a good school with amazing infrastructure an world class facilities
There are some commen regarding students who do drugs, smoking etc
But,let’s face it,is there any boarding school where such things do not happen
I don’t now about IGCSE,but as far I have experienced CBSE,the teachers give their full concentration to their work and teach wholeheartedly.there are some cases in which the teacher shout at the students for no reason, but that happens in a hostel
According to me,it is the students who should overcome this as they will face these challenges in the future. It is the student who should have the willpower to resist and debate when needed.
