We are sending our kids to FIS for the last 3 years. The younger one is in grade II and the older one is in grade VI. Our experience so far has been good.
The class size is small giving kids/teacher ample opportunity to interact with each other. The school has been able to attract and retain some very able and responsible teachers. The commitment of Mrs Jayanti Prabhakar (Principal) towards the school is truly appreciable.
There is an emphasis on learning concepts than on rote learning. There is enough room for each kid to develop problem-solving abilities, creative abilities without killing their spirit of curiosity and encouragement to continue with their special interests and talents. The continuous assessment process and the revisions before the assessment takes away the exam pressure and make the learning experience more enjoyable for the kids.
We find that at FIS, students are encouraged to imbibe and promote pro-social thoughts, values, and behaviors and are being trained to act as good citizens.
We would all like to see the FIS kids making maximum use of the available sports ground which is an asset for FIS something hard to find in other schools.

Both my kids are studying in freedom international. The teachers here are not that experienced. my son is in primary section. they dont follow any methodology in teaching. they just rush, finish of the terms portion, without even bothering to give them little bit of notes or even time to study each lesson. this puts a lot of pressure on the kid. surprisingly they do not give the corrected test papers home. parents only are allowed to see the papers during PTM, which cannot be taken with them. personally, just seeing the test paper a glance cannot identify the mistakes done by my son in the paper. tests are to rectify the mistakes and not to repeat the mistakes. if the children does not understand the mistakes done by them they will never correct it. i do not know what the school is losing by giving the test papers home.

I suggest you should consider this school as last option. The management is very bad and building of the is also not complete and now not sure how they can complete the work along with the class. I am planning to move my daughter from this school. Principle is very rude. Also heard that most of the good teachers are moving out of this school.

We would like to know when the admissions will start for FIS. Also recently we came to know that there was a small mishap (cement fell off from the roof). How did the school respond?

Any suggestions from parents will be greatly appreciated.

thanks,
Yamini.

Hi

We are evaluating Freedom International School(HSR) and BRS school of Global Excellance(near sarjpur road). We would like to know about FIS from the parents. Our kid is to go to the nursery class. since the school starts from 8.30, how do they look after the child till 12.30? Do they see to it that the kid eats her food, goes to toilet, etc?
