VIBGYOR HIGH gives same emphasis to SPA (Sports & Performing Arts) as much as Academics. The school was started with the vision of providing holistic development to each child. SPA at VH includes various indoor & outdoor activities like Basketball, Skating, Swimming, Dance, Drama, Aerobics, Chess, Yoga, Theatre. For each of these activities, there is a separate coach/trainer who specializes in the activity. VH is also one of the only few schools in Bangalore which has a semi-olympic size swimming pool to train children for District/State/National level swimming competitions.

This information is for the parents who are planning for Ryan International School.
MY ONLY ADVISE WILL BE TO GET THAT SCHOOL OUT OF YOUR DESCISION BOOK.
My son studies in Ryan International and the standard is teacher to student ratio is 1:40+ now you can imagine.
my son is studying there foir the last 3 year and the first year has been preety good there as there was no much students and the teacher was too good, but when he went to mont 3 he lost interest on studies and forgot his rhymes, he complains that his teacher dont teach any Rhymes there are no other activities other than home work and the dance that they have for the graduation day, for the last 3 year i was not allowed to meet the principal when ever i requested for an appointment i was sent to the supervisior of MONT 3,there is no special care taken nor any special training given to children who can not cope with the studies parents are blamed for not training the child, the school fee is 30k admission+10750 fee+bus for the starter.
i am not sure about the higher primary standard but when ever i went to pay my sons fee i see a couple of parents standing to meet the principal to get the child withdrawn from the school.
they have bus facilities but there is no security, if the child is little naughty the child is beaten in the bus by the attender, my son had 3 stiches on his nose when complained this to the school authority they balmed my son who at that time was a 4 year old.
this year i am planning for VIBGYOR or Prakriya which are good.
i have been to VIBGYOR the school seems to be good but i need to know more about this school from the parents whose child is studying in the school. I dont want to make another Mistake.
MY SON REFUSES TO GO TO RYAN ANY MORE EVER IF I WANT HIM TO HE IS NOT WILLING THIS IS THE WAY THE SCHOOL IS.

WHEN YOU GO to the school you will not get any one to introduce you to the school.
May be the school is doing too good in the WEST ZONE but not in the south Zone.
This school has all the facilities but if they can concentrate on a different method of teaching and reduce the teacher to student ration and concentrate more on extra activities then i think this can be a very good school but since all these are not possible i dont suggest this school to any parents.

Does Vibgyor follow montessori system in nursery classes? I got to know that it is ICSE syllabus. But in some schools for nursery they have montessori system. I am looking out for admission to UKG for my kid. She had her LKG curriculum in a montessori system.

I have put my son in Nursery class in Vibgyor High , I really liked Vibgyor , since it is a well established school in Bombay and Vadodara , here in Bangalore they are 2 Year old but obviously since they are part of a big group they will shape up well. I went to Ryan International in Whitefield , but I found the school to be too crowded and teacher to Student ratio is very high , it’s like a factory and I was looking for a school , Vibgyor has 1:8 ratio which is the best in Bangalore, also their set up is fabulous. They are very organized and extremely clean. I beleive these are important for the initial years.

I visited Gopalan . It follows ICSE curriculum. But was quite disappointed on seeing it . Not much open space for playing etc. (Gopalan National). For a 4 year old child , they are having a techer child ratio of 1:25 which is quite bad. When I asked the difference between Gopalan National and international school, they said ,” the International school is a lot more bigger “. And so is their fees .

Hi All,
I am looking for good schools in and around Marathahalli.
Looking at Vibgyor, i need to know their quality of education and other activities…Though the fee rate is high (50000+10000 adm.fee), we would like to explore the feedback before approaching them.
I have called Vibgyor today…and the telephone system is pathetic.
The Automatic answering machine connects and gives scarry sounds and wasted 3 calls and no go.

i have enquired gear intl .. and they say admission is closed for this year. So between Gopalan and Vibgyor which one would rate (if you can be specific on parameters) .. Gopalan is also coming up with new premises .. which they would be calling Gopalan Intl and existing one would be called Gopalan National … frankly not comfortable with different names they have come up …. i feel vibgyor should be good .. pls advise as per your experience.

I am not happy with the quality of teachers (do not even correct the spellings in the copy). Sometimes even the dictation words are wrong.
Also they have a conevtional way of teaching and sometimes also beat the kids. Although my daughter is one of the top few in class, still she is very scared of her teachers.
In my opinion school should not be a place to be dreaded, even as a child in my school corporal punishment was banned!! They should enjoy schooling and the school should let them be, rather than putting them in rat race of marks.
Mrs gayathri on what basis do you say Ryan is better than Vibgyor.
If you can be more details it will help me make a decision.
To elaborate what I am loooking for:
I want equal weightage to studies and extra curricular activites.
The quality of teachers not in terms of strictness, but their knowledge and how they can handle it.
If you can give comments on these parameters on Ryan, Primus and Vibgyor I will be very happy.
