Both my kids attend Inventure Academy, the older (boy) is in Grade 3 and the younger (girl) in KG2. I am very satisfied with the school. What I like most is the idea of regular updates sent to parents via email and the school website, I see close engagement by teachers, particularly in the higher grades and encouragement of students by building on their strengths.

Challenges and opportunities in today's world are vastly different from those during our own school days. Schooling therefore has to respond to these changes. I believe Inventure is a sincere initiative and one that will produce positive results in.

If you are looking for a school with a orientation heavily skewed towards academics almost to the total exclusion of extra-curricular activities, then look elsewhere. If you want your children to have a healty mix of the best from Indian and Western educational systems, Inveenture would be a good choice.

If there is a negative, it is the high fees however as long as I can afford that, I plan for my kids to continue at Inventure.

Hi,

I am currently evaluating inventure academy as an option for my son. Would any of you have any feedback about the school on

- Type of education - Teaching methods & Teachers
- Fees
- socio-economic background of parents - middle class, rich, expats..??
- Any other experience - good/bad...

Hmm..All the concerns are justified. Both my children study at Inventure Academy and so far I have found it more than satisfactory. The teachers are helpful and available to students. There are medical good facilities, I remember my daughter was attended to by a qualified nurse when she fell down and injured herself while playing.
The requirements of education have changed today as compared to when we studied. The challenges faced today are much different than what we faced years back, so I think Inventure does provide the education for sustainability and success in this environment. Be it a ‘regular’ or an ‘international’ school, they have their pros and cons. I am happy with the ‘all round’ development that Inventure provides.

We visited Gear. The security didn't allow us to see the school or meet someone in charge of admission. We were supposed to fill the application form and handover without even talking to someone there! Different rules?. So my first impression was bad. Not sure about the academics.

Thanks

I agree most of the school fees are too high to be justified.
I would suggest a 'regular school' and for other extra curricular activities you could use your apartment/villas amenities..came across sports coach academy (www.sportscoach.in) who depute coaches at locations with relevant amenities.
I have personally heard good feedback on Gear (Sarjapur Rd) and Bethany school (Koramangala)

Thanks for the feedback Maggie.
I still dont understand the motivation for charging such fees.
Is it because there are people who will pay the fees blindly without asking even a single question? Is it just a hype about such "internationally benchmarked" schools? Are we taking high risk sending kids to such chaotic environment?. Our good old schools didn't have horse riding, swimming pool, A/C class rooms etc. But the academic foundation was very good and it was not compromised for anything else.
I will have to rethink now about Inventure, Greenwood etc.

Thanks

My daughter attended Inventure for two years and in the end I was disappointed. I believe they say all the right things but they did not deliver on their promises. We were told about individual attention and personal lesson plans, etc. We saw none of that. What was really disappointing was the lack of supervision of children that I witnessed over and over again. They have a good philosophy but they had gone a little too far with no discipline and as a result it always seemed very chaotic. My daughter asked to go to a different school. She is now at Primus Public School and we are all very happy with it. (BTW - it is much, much cheaper than Inventure.)

Inventure unlike other schools does not make fake promises. The CEO is a very down to earth person. Teachers go out of their way to help children. Unlike TISB and Indus which are just interested in squeezing money. Fees at Inventure Academy are very reasonable compared to other IGCSE schools. Infrastructure is also pretty good.Best is they give equal importance to sports and studies. Your child wont be bogged down with homework andbooks. I am happy as a parent.
